The Party branches of Shenzhen Disabled Persons’ Federation and Shenzhen Lions Club carried out “July 1” activities to visit Party members in need and the disabled

On July 21, 2022, the Party branch of Shenzhen Disabled Persons’ Federation and Shenzhen Lions Club visited the office of Nanyuan Subdistrict, Futian District, to celebrate the birthday of the Party on July 1 and send the Party organization’s holiday wishes and condolences to them. Dong Xiu, Secretary of the Party Group and Director general of the Municipal Disabled Persons’ Federation, Yin Kui, member of the Party Group and Vice Director General, Huang Te, Deputy Director of the Office, Liu Renji, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Nanyuan Sub-district Jiang Chongan, Secretary of the Party Branch of Shenzhen Lions Club Lai Zhuoni, candidate for Secretary General of the 2022-2023 year Zhou Wenpei, representatives of Party members with difficulties and representatives of the disabled attended the activity. The Party branch of the Shenzhen Lions Club donated condolence materials to needy party members and disabled people in Nanyuan Street, and invested 13,000 yuan in service funds.
Mr. Dong Xiu, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director General of the Municipal DPF, gave a Party lesson entitled “Unswervingly Planning for the Development of the city’s disability sector in accordance with the General Secretary’s strategy, Striving to write a brilliant chapter for the development of Shenzhen in the New Era”, leading everyone to learn the report spirit of the 13th Provincial Party Congress. I shared my thoughts and reflections on the changes in the current situation, the “two aspects of maintenance”, and the people-centered development philosophy. It also introduces the features and highlights of the work of persons with disabilities in Shenzhen from the following aspects: building a barrier-free city, building a friendly and inclusive environment for persons with disabilities, providing adequate services to ensure the bottom line of people’s livelihood, promoting employment of persons with disabilities, and promoting common prosperity for persons with disabilities.
Then, under the leadership of Comrade Dong Xiu, we had a discussion and exchange with representatives of Party members with difficulties and representatives of the disabled in Binhe Community of Nanyuan Street, listened carefully to their opinions and suggestions on community governance, community construction and services for the disabled, and collected the hot and difficult issues that the masses were most concerned about.
Through this condolence activity, the Party branch of Shenzhen Disabled Persons’ Federation and Shenzhen Lions Club played an active role as the pioneer and model of Party members, celebrated the birthday of the Party, carried out the original mission of Party members, and sent warmth and sincere care to party members in need and the disabled, so that they could get help in life and be inspired spiritually. At the same time, it also shows that the Shenzhen Lions Club plays an active role as a social organization, practices humanism and embodies the purpose of “helping others and serving the society” of the Shenzhen Lions Club.
