Recommendation of Supervisory Board candidates for Shenzhen Lions Club 2022-2023

Hello everyone!

According to the laws and regulations of Chinese society, the Constitution and working rules of Shenzhen Lions Club, the relevant regulations of Domestic Lions Federation, the guidance of Shenzhen Social Organization Administration and Shenzhen Disabled Persons’ Federation on the general election, after the study by the Preparatory Committee of the 20th Shenzhen Lions Club Member Congress and the deliberation and approval by the Sixth Council of Shenzhen Lions Club in 2021-2022, Approved by the competent unit of Shenzhen Disabled Persons’ Federation and recorded by the Municipal Administration of Social Organizations, the 20th Session of the Members’ Congress will be held separately on August 5, 2022. On the basis of fully promoting democracy and following the principles of fairness, justice and openness, the General Assembly will elect the new President, Vice President, council member, Chief Supervisor, Deputy Chief Supervisor and supervisor of the Shenzhen Lions Club for the 2022-2023 period by secret ballot.

This is the 8th General meeting of the Shenzhen Lions Club in which the members of the Board of Directors and the Board of Supervisors are elected by the general Assembly and the second vice president is elected by a competitive election. It can be said that the democratic election of Shenzhen Lions Club is at the forefront of Lions clubs in China. This is not only the inheritance of the Lion culture, the embodiment of the democratic spirit of the civil society, but also the exploration of the development path of the domestic characteristics of the Lion club.

This year, there will be one president, one first vice president, one second vice president, 37 candidates for board members, one chief supervisor, two deputy chief supervisors and 11 supervisors. They stand up bravely and are willing to contribute to the development of the Shenzhen Lions Club. Their love and responsibility are worthy of our learning and appreciation. Here we salute them!

“Today’s leaders, tomorrow’s followers”. We believe that whether the candidates are successful or not, they are all followers, leaders and service members of the Lion spirit. They are all “helping others”. Those who practice the purpose of “serving the society” believe that they will take the public welfare cause to a new level with stronger faith, higher morale and a more pragmatic style.
