The fourth “Deep Lion Fusion” Cup Series Sports Games and Shenzhen 2022 Dry Land Curling Competition was held smoothly

On August 7, 2022, the Fourth “Deep Lion Fusion” Cup Series Sports Games and Shenzhen 2022 Disabled People Dry Land Curling Competition was successfully held in the indoor stadium on the third floor of Shenzhen Comprehensive Service Center for the Disabled. The event was sponsored by Shenzhen Disabled Persons’ Federation, organized by Shenzhen Disabled Persons’ Association, co-organized by Shenzhen Lions Club and Guangdong Dry Land Curling Association. Mr. Fu Xiangyang, Chairman of Shenzhen Disabled Persons Association, representative of Shenzhen Lions Club Disabled Committee and Ms. Luo Dan, general manager of Shenzhen Sweat Brothers Brand Management Co., LTD attended the event.
Nearly 100 athletes from 12 disabled teams from 10 districts participated in this year’s dry land curling competition. By testing their wisdom and experience, they can fully show themselves and enrich the leisure life of the disabled.
After a brief warm-up, quickly enter the competition phase. As the competition progressed, the FOD’s experience points improved qualitatively. The small strength of the team is responsible for occupying the road, the strength of the team is responsible for assault. Controlled power, uncontrollable results, is the real beauty of dry curling. On the field, the players focused their efforts to push and throw, some players accurately into the scoring zone, and some players accidentally pushed the opponent’s curling into the scoring zone. This is a mind-burning sport, but also the use of strategy of the game. The crowd sometimes cheered at the wonderful performance on the field, and sometimes was amused by the various accidents on the field. Lions Teams 1, 2 and 3, made up of 12 young basketball players, entered the fray, scoring the first set of a game that was met with loud cheers and screams, and a game of teamwork and combined strength that was a test of team curling, but ultimately lost to the well-trained champions. After a friendly and intense competitive game, the Futian District dry land curling team won the first place, the bright District dry land curling team won the second place without training, and the Nanshan District dry land curling team maintained a steady style and won the third place. In the 10 districts, the FODs competed for the best results, the best style and the best friendship.
Fu Xiangyang, president of Shenzhen Disabled Persons Association, introduced to the lions that dry land curling is popular because it covers a small area, is easy to learn and master, is suitable for all ages, and is not restricted by disability category, region and environment. At the same time, this activity tests the team understanding and combat skills, which has higher requirements for the cooperation and strategy among FOD. He called on the community to pay more attention to this sport, hoping to hold more competitions to increase the fun of sports and fitness for disabled people, improve their happiness index, and fully show their mental outlook, so that they can better face life and integrate into society.
Precision Assistance is one of the key brand service projects of Shenzhen Lions Club over the years. Under the guidance and support of Shenzhen Disabled Persons’ Federation, the Disability Committee, together with all the Lions of each service team, has vigorously carried out disability support activities for different disabled groups. At the same time, it has cooperated with five special associations for the disabled in Shenzhen to launch the “Deep Lions Fusion Cup” series of Sports and Sports Games in 2019-2020, which has been held for the fourth time this year. On average, 10 fun and sports activities are held every year to share the achievements of social civilization with the five types of disabled friends. In the process of serving the disabled, we found that the disabled friends need more and better social support system. In addition to making us a part of their “social support”, we hope to help them strengthen their body and enhance their confidence by holding various integrated sports and sports. Let us walk into the disabled groups, accompany them out of the home, integrate into the society, and join hands to create a harmonious and beautiful new life.
