On July 2, 2022, the third meeting of the 2021-2022 Annual President Advisory Committee of Shenzhen Lions Club was held in Building 4, Excellence Century Center, Fuhua SAN Road, Futian District in a combination of “online and offline” approach. At the meeting, the members of the President’s Advisory Committee listened to the recent work of the Board of Directors and the Board of Supervisors, discussed the fund application for the 20th anniversary of the Shenzhen Lions Club, the adjustment of the proportion of Chinese Lions Award and other non-restricted fund income into the service fund, and put forward constructive suggestions and opinions for the future development of the Shenzhen Lions Club.
Li Lun, member of the Party Group of Shenzhen Disabled Persons’ Federation and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shenzhen Lions Club, Xiao Xingping, Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the President of Shenzhen Lions Club, Xie Jianwen, President and District director of Shenzhen Lions Club, and former President Ma Min, Tian Xingxing, Shi Jianyong, Lin Tao, Lin Ziyu, Wu Xiaoming, Su Zeran, Zheng Degang, Wang Jinliang, Sun Yun, Dai Tongxin and so on attended the meeting. The first Vice president of Shenzhen Lions Club Peng Daojian, the second vice president Nie Xiangdong, the secretary general Lai Zhuoni, and the candidate for Secretary General of the club in 2022-2023 Zhou Wenpei were present at the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Xiao Xingping.
Xiao Xingping, Chairman of the Chairman’s Advisory Committee, delivered a speech. She expressed her heartfelt thanks to all the leaders and former presidents for attending the meeting under the windy and rainy weather. The convening of this meeting reflects that the Chairman’s Advisory Committee earnestly performs its advisory duties and provides guidance for major decisions of the Council. We hope that the participants can make positive suggestions and give real and valuable suggestions.
Peng Daojian, the first Vice Chairman and Guo Yongyong, the president, briefed the council on the recent work. Centering on the theme of “Keeping the original aspiration and serving together“, the Council carried out the lion affairs work in a solid and orderly manner. This year, the Shenzhen Lions Club has made remarkable achievements in social services, standardized management, cultural inheritance and other aspects, which cannot be separated from the care and guidance of the relevant departments of the Municipal Disabled Persons Federation and the great support of the former president. He said that he would do his best to contribute his share to the charity cause.
Supervisor Tian Xingxing briefed the recent work of the board of Supervisors. He said that the members of the Board of Supervisors have been conscientious and dutiful, abiding by the Supervisory Board System of Shenzhen Lions Club. The recent work of the Board of Supervisors mainly includes performing supervision duties, inspecting the financial work of the Shenzhen Lions Club, implementing the supervision and inspection of the implementation of the “Two-fee Management”, and putting forward relevant suggestions on the revision of the “Code of Conduct of Shenzhen Lions Club Members”; It is suggested to carry out satisfaction questionnaires for members. To put forward opinions and suggestions on the existing problems of the Board of Directors, and suggest that the Board of Directors and the Board of supervisors strengthen communication and effective cooperation according to the division of responsibilities. I hope the work of the Board of Supervisors will be better and more comprehensive in the future to promote the healthy development of Shenzhen Lions Club.
Nie Xiangdong, the second Vice president of Shenzhen Lions Club introduced the fund application and plan for the 20th anniversary of the club.
Later, Peng Daojian, the first Vice president, reported the adjustment of the proportion of China Lion Award and other non-restricted fund income into the service fund.
Based on their experience in lion affairs, the former presidents put forward their own suggestions on the fund application and plan for the 20th anniversary of the Shenzhen Lions Club, and the adjustment of the proportion of Chinese Lions Award and other non-restricted funds into the Service Fund, which fully reflects their love and support for the Shenzhen Lions Club.
The former presidents agreed that the program of the 20th anniversary should be scientific and detailed, and agreed to give partial support from the administrative fund over the years. The fund gap can be raised from the Lion friends. The former members of the club expressed their willingness to take the lead in making donations to facilitate the successful preparation of the 20th anniversary of the Shenzhen Lions Club.
As for the adjustment of the proportion of the fund, the former presidents said that under the circumstances of the poor economic environment, they agreed to adjust the proportion of the China Lion Award and other non-restricted fund income into the service fund within a certain period of time.
Speech by Wu Xiaoming, Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee for 2022-2023. First of all, he thanked President Xiao Xingping for his contribution to the Chairman’s Advisory Committee and the Shenzhen Lions Club. Secondly, I would like to thank all the former Presidents for their confidence in him as Chairman of the President’s Advisory Board for the year 2022-2023. I would like to thank the board members represented by President Guo Yongyong and Supervisor Tian Xingxing for their contributions to the Shenzhen Lions Club. From the heated discussion of the former presidents, I was deeply touched by the love and dedication of the former presidents to the Shenzhen Lions Club. In the New Year, we will actively communicate with First Vice President Peng Daojian and other former chairmen, and do a good job in the work of the Chairman’s Advisory Committee and make our own contribution to the Chairman’s Advisory Committee.
Secretary General Lai Zhuoni delivered a speech, she said that due to the job transfer, the organization has selected a new candidate to take over the job, thank you for the past two years of trust and support for her work. Her time with the Lions Club has been a highlight of her life. She will continue to pay close attention to the development of the Shenzhen Lions Club and hopes that under the new leadership, the club will have an even brighter future.
Li Lun, Party member and Vice president of Shenzhen Disabled Persons’ Federation, delivered a speech. He said that the former presidents who attended the meeting are important leading lions in the development of the Shenzhen Lions Club and also role models in the public welfare and philanthropy sector in Shenzhen. Since its establishment in 2001, the Shenzhen Lions Club has grown from small to large, relying on the accumulation and precipitation of wisdom of the former presidents. I would like to express my heartfelt respect to you all. At the meeting, the former presidents actively participated in the discussion of the topics and put forward valuable suggestions, which showed the dedication spirit of the Lions of Shenzhen Lions Club.
He pointed out that this year is an important year to march towards the centenary goal, and Shenzhen is also at a new stage of development. The future positioning and development of the Shenzhen Lions Club deserves in-depth consideration. He hoped that the Shenzhen Lions Club would develop with high quality, go deep and solid, and strive for progress while maintaining stability. The Federation would continue to fully support the development of the Shenzhen Lions Club.
Xiao Xingping, chairman of the President’s Advisory Committee, made a concluding speech. She thanked Li Lun, member of the Party Committee of Shenzhen Disabled Persons’ Federation and Vice President of Shenzhen Disabled Persons’ Federation for attending the meeting. She also thanked the Shenzhen Disabled Persons’ Federation for its continuous attention and support to the development of Shenzhen Lions Club. The meeting was concise and efficient. I would like to thank the participants for their active and enthusiastic participation in the discussion of the topics and their valuable suggestions. This year, for the first time, the President’s team consulted the Advisory committee of the President on major issues. The former President understood the difficulties of the president’s team and actively offered suggestions to the president’s team. At present, it is necessary to promote the convening of member representatives’ meetings as soon as possible, and the use of special funds and the revision of the foundation management system should be carried out in accordance with the rules and regulations. The Board of Directors, the Board of Supervisors and the Party branch should support and cooperate with each other to contribute to the development of the Shenzhen Lions Club and jointly create a better future for the club.
