Care for the elderly Warm You and me — Shenzhen Lions Club Community Service activities into the Shanghai He Community

On June 22, 2022, the fifth of the series of activities of Shenzhen Lions Club to serve the community is Shanghe Community, Xin ‘an Street, Bao ‘an District. The activity is guided by Shenzhen Care Office, Shenzhen Disabled Persons’ Federation, sponsored by Shenzhen Lions Club, organized by Shenzhen Xinxi Tea Culture Co., LTD., Tongxin, Xin ‘an, Hua Han, Gaoxin, Tiancheng, Little Tong, Yichang, Xiangmi Lake, Xian Lake, Charity Collection, Hand in hand, Oriental Rose, Bright eyes, Yishan, Hongli, Shande, Zhengdao, Mile, Huanggang; Hualei, Foton, Care, Tai Lai, Long Term, linkedin, Baihe, Leshan, Happiness and Bagualing Service team co-organized the event, which was jointly supported by the Community Committee of Xinan Street in Bao ‘an District and Shenzhen Sports Center Operation and Management Co., LTD. Vision examination services were provided to the elderly in the community, and 470 pairs of presbyopia glasses were distributed, with an investment of 36,925 yuan.

The event was hosted by Gao Chenhan, the host of Shenzhen Radio Group.

On behalf of the Shenzhen Lions Club, Mr. Wei Xinxin, Chairman of the Community Service Committee, thanked the Shanghai He Community for providing convenient conditions for public welfare services. As a promoter of public welfare, the Shenzhen Lions Club will lead the Lions to actively serve the community and serve the society.
Shen Wei, director of Market Operation Department of Shenzhen Sports Center, explained the significance of health for the residents on the scene. Besides physical health, inner health also needs to be paid attention to. In fact, most of the causes of many diseases are psychological, to have a strong body and healthy mind, will have a happy life. Minister Shen Wei’s positive lecture aroused great interest of lion friends and community residents. They all said that scientific exercise balances pressure, releases motivation and achieves a better quality of life.
The public welfare activities cannot be carried out without the support of relevant units. At the event, Chairman Wei Xinxin presented the community service flag to Chen Weifeng, the station master of Xinan Street Community He Community Station, and thanked the community for its support to public welfare undertakings.
Shenzhen Lions Club actively responds to the Shenzhen government’s attention to the elderly and relevant measures, and carries out community services with elderly vision as the core. This activity specially invites the professional team of doctors from Shenzhen Optometry and Ophthalmology Outpatient Department to provide technical support. Shenzhen Lions Club hopes to provide the most professional eye examination for the elderly through community services, and presents presbyopia glasses with appropriate strength. To promote and solve the vision problems of the elderly concerned by the community.
Under the guidance of the Lion Friends, the residents of Shanghai He Community have completed eye tests and fundus examinations and received suitable glasses. In order to express our gratitude to the hard working ophthalmologists, the Community Service Committee presented the two doctors with ties and scarves of this year’s Shenzhen Lions Club.
This public welfare activity has been highly recognized by residents and the community. The Community Service Committee of Shenzhen Lions Club will continue to update its service content, so that more service projects closely related to the community residents can be truly settled in the community.
